Charl has dedicated his career to hospitality being very active in the sector for 29 years, overseeing successful hotel operations, refurbishments, upgrades, openings and extensions. He worked his way up the ranks to senior General Manager of Protea Hotels (21 years) before moving as Operations Director and then Group Commercial Director at BON Hotels. During his time at Protea Hotels, Charl was the recipient of a number of prestigious Protea Hotels Awards. He is motivated by hard work, attention to detail and has a no-nonsense attitude that has earned him an esteemed reputation in the industry.

Jenna Bissell
From an initial background in digital marketing for high tech companies, Jenna has gained her experience for overseeing and delivering innovative technology capabilities at a range of companies around the world, going on to found her own successful software development company. Jenna developed an in-depth knowledge of creating highly impactful and engaging digital user experiences. In 2011, Jenna moved to Asia and continued gaining experience a software development company and Jamandi Services – a conservation technology company as well as Ethbits – a crypto exchange powerhouse.

Neill worked his way up through the ranks of Protea Hotels form General Manager to Regional Manager and spent 10 years as Regional Director Cape. Allister Esau
Allister Esau is the Culinary Arts Consultant for Chefs’ Hangout and Director of the South African Chefs Association; Chef Allister started his culinary experience in the United Kingdom in 1995. Working his way from dishwasher to chef in London. Returning to South Africa, he joined the Protea Hotel Group, where he achieved his qualifications as a Chef. Allister worked in 3 to 5-stars Hotel Restaurants and achieved the award of Chef Graduate of the Year. Training and consulting to industry has given Chef Allister a greater overview of the hospitality sector and its industry demands.
